he felt her love and it drowned all other emotions. all the anger and pain he was feeling around him. he just felt her love and his body almost forgot his being. he wanted her to feel this. he sent her all of the love twice over and held her like nothing else mattered.

As she clung to him, the briefest touch of something icily cold touched her neck and lingered there. But it was gone as quickly as it came as the tidal wave of emotion that Shade sent out reached her. Once that had hit her she was as calm as she could ever be, in a state of serenity. There was only Kain and Eime, nothing else. She kissed his neck right where her lips were and moved upwards, just brushing her lips along his skin until she found his mouth. Then she kissed him again, reveling in the feeling and sharing it again with him. Being perfectly happy in a sad world. (Just so you know, no one other than Shade and Eime knows what is happening in the flame walls. Don't even try.  Love you alll!) |

Rin stood there looking at the flame. A small smile formed across her face. She brushed her fingers through her hair and sighed "Goodbye my little sister," she whispered. She then turned around and walked away.

She relaxed as she heard his words, letting her legs slip to the floor though she kept herself tightly molded against him. Her kiss was desperate- like a man getting his first drink after being in the desert for three days. Her words were as well once she pulled herself away to speak with him. "Even if I'm fragmented- if my wounds don't heal? You'll still love me then? If I can't be a good enough mother? You'll still accept me?" Eime searched his eyes with hers; pleading, hoping for acception- but fearing that he wouldn't. Fearing that he'd leave her when she needed him most. Fearing- that she'd be left alone to combat the ghost of her father.

The smile that lit Eime's face after hearing his words was like the first rays of golden sunlight upon a land that only knew rain and dreary grey for months on end. She laid her head against his shoulder and the walls of fire disappeared, leaving only charred marks on the ground. Once again her mind was completely at peace and she was perfectly happy. A flash of glaring green eyes in her mind made her breath still and her muscles tense but she tried to keep calm so Shade wouldn't know. She had to fight against him herself. Or her family would get hurt too..

She shut her eyes against the image of green ones in her mind. It didn't help much but she managed to make her voice level and calm anyways. "It's nothing. I'm just worried about things..." Eime squeezed him gently and whispered, "I love you. Very much. I swear you're the only thing keeping my mind put together."
