Just as she was about to say something, a very loud thunder crash rang out. She colapsed onto her knees, her hands immediately going to her ears and she squeezed her eyes shut.

She sobbed once and wrapped her arms around him, getting very close to him as another lightning flash went across the sky and the thunder rumbled after it.

then another streak of lightning hit and skilar closed his eye's and winced,"agh!"

She opened her eyes and saw his pained expression. "Skilar! Are you ok? Were you hit?" Rosethorn asked, concern coloring her voice.

they got to the back and he sat against the back wall then wrapped one wing around her and relaxed.

She leaned against him, wincing every time there was a flash of lightning or thunder rumbled. "Are you sure you're ok? I think there's something I can do. I'm not sure though."

he smiled," yeah. i'm good. here. take my skull candies. you can't hear a thing threw them. just put them in and try to sleep. but one thing. i hope you like nightmare before christmas." he put his skull candies in her ears and turned on 'this is halloween' as loud as it could go to drown out the storm.
