Missing Ava

Alistair sat with his hands clasped tightly, his head bowed. He mumbled incoheriently. How much he missed her. To most Alistair seemed to be coping well but on the inside he was actually getting worse as the days went on. Praying was the only thing that seemed to help. He felt as though he were talking directly to her. He knew it was foolish but he had to do something...

[Spencer]

Spencer threw the door open and was surprised to see Alistair. "Mr. Alistair?" she gasped. She wasn't expecting to see him but she was happy. Hopefully she could straighten this thing out. She closed the door softly and walked down to him.
"What brings you here"

A bit annoyed that his peace had once more been disrupted, he looked up to her with a smile none the less. "Oh hi. Um just... praying for Ava's well being on the other side is all." he said smiling sheepishly

[Spencer]

"Oh, sorry if I disturbed you it's just I always have come here when I feel uneasy....It's just has a certain glow about it." She said as she sat down. Taking in a deep breath she looked at him. "Listen about the whole Ava thing It's just I'm really weird about things and I didn;t mean to affend you,"

Alistair smiled. "No worries miss. In a way you were right." His smile dropped at he looked to the plain blue flooring of the church. "I tell everyone I'm moving on... but really..."he looked forward at the giant cross seemingly looming over them. "Nevermind" he said shrugging it off.

[Spencer]

She cleared her throat and sat next to him "Listen Alistair," she said trying be calm and gentle as possible "Holding in all these feelings is not healthy. One day your going to explode...Have you ever taken time to mourn her death?"

"Why does it matter? Either I stay at home and cry in misery or I go out, go to work and be miserable minus the crying." He knew she was trying to help, but it was his honest opinion opinion

[Spencer]

"No no no" She said as she placed her hands on his shoulder and gently squeezed them "really mourn...." She knew he prob didn't understand what the hell she was saying. she cleared her throat "Ok tell me about Ava,"

He looked at her and then at her hand, and back to her. He sighed and decided to amuze her. "Well... she was..." he smiled "Undoubtly beautiful. Way out my league. But.. something about her made me want to chase her." He laughed lightly. "That caused alot of problems in the begining" He thought for a moment and continued. "Her long red hair matched the colors of the leaves in the fall we got together...she seemingly was the only person to understrand my sence of humor... or my personallity." He laughed scratching his neck. "And I just... fell in love."

[Spencer]

She smiled at him "Now think of those happy moments....No more sad yes she may be gone but just forgetting her isn't what you need to do....I don't believe you should what people say "get over them" But I think you should always remember yes it may be painful but that is what makes you stronger eventually you will be able to go a day without crying and you will be able to be happy once again...it all takes time....Forcing it to happen only makes it worse."

Alistair noded and truley smiled for the first time in a long while. He wiped a tear from his face and looked into her eyes. "Thank you, Spencer."

[Spencer]

She smiled back at him "Your welcome,"
She then stood up and walked over to a broken window.
"When I first came here this was the only place that gave me comfort."

That caught his interest. "Comfort? From what?"

[Spencer]

She turned and gave him a smirk "I don't know Mr. Alistair, A ghost?"

He smiled and played along. "And just what kind of ghost would haunt such a fine young lady such as your self?"
