She gasped loudly in surprised. She quickly dove under water after him.

Masaki finally found the ring and he clenched it tight in his fist. He used his tail to power him back up towards the surface (yes thats right his tail). He saw her on his way up and his purple eyes widened all the more.

She looked at him and examined him. She smiled and looked at what was in is hand.

He saw her gaze go to his hand and he held up the ruby and silver ring. It helps me not transform when I touch water. he explained in her mind. His violet and black tail was swishing back and forth to keep him floating in one place.

Partially. I'm half pond dweller, half woodland elf. So my transforming is like a special ability that I can't control. he thought, looking down through the water.

He felt the water move around him and he saw her swimming around him. What are you doing? he asked her, his purple eyes unreadable as he watched her swim around him.

she continued to swim around but then slowly stopped infront of him.
"Just swimming," she thought. "Anyway it's been very lonely here lately it's nice to find someone else like me."

I was a bit shocked when I saw you were like this as well. Though I think we maybe the only two left like us.. he mused, looking down through the water again, this time curiously.

She smiled and swam closer to him. "That does make me happy to know that I am not alone."
