He gasped as the images started to flow through his mind. After a few minutes that seemed like hours, something clicked open in his mind. Pulling back, he stumbled back and slammed into the wall. Dropping onto his knees, he covered his face with his hands as his own memories began to pour forth from some secret place.

He rasied up one hand, a wall of light keeping her from getting to him. His eyes were squeezed shut and the light he was putting forth was waxing and waning rapidly as the images kept flashing by. The night he was run out of the village, meeting Sientra, the first time she was ambushed, when he was attacked in the village, and many others. After all the images were done, he screamed in pain as the wound in his side pulsed violently, almost as if it was reopened. He fell to his other side, his hands clutching the wound.

The wall of light faded away as his concentration was lost. His breath came in gasps, his light still waxing and waning. His hands still grasped the scar on his side.

she got o her hands and knees and crawled over to him and wispered," anorath? can i do anything? are you hurt?what's wrong?"

His eyes cracked open and he reached a hand out to her, taking one of hers and squeezing. Anorath's eyes shut as another jolt of pain went through him.

she squeezed his hand gently," it's ok. it's ok.is it your side?" she grabbed his hand with her empty hand and stroked the back of his. then she stroked his hair from his face,"i shouldn't have agreed.i am so sorry.anorath. i am so sorry."

The pain finally subsided and he lay still, taking deep breaths. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and looked up at her. "Sientra?" he asked, his voice as soft as a spring breeze.

He hugged her back, smiling. "Aye. Everything that I did not know before is back." Anorath pulled away. "Thank you for helping me Sientra."

"Aye. I have no thoughts on why my wound was acting as though it was freshly made." he said, leaning back against the cave wall. He looked at her. "I apologize for being so harsh to you earlier. The long years have taken their toll on me."
